In this episode of Hair of the Dog Academy TV, I'm sharing a game-changing tip for capturing impactful dog portraits. Discover the power of getting low!
We'll start by examining three images that showcase the difference in background and composition based solely on my position. The first image, taken from a standing position, features a grass background that lacks interest and depth. But when I get low in the second image, the background transforms into a beautiful array of leaves, creating depth and compression. In the third image, I take it up a notch by capturing more leaves above the dog, framing it beautifully. By simply changing my perspective and getting low, I was able to elevate the overall impact of the photograph.
Get LOW, it makes a huge difference. So grab your camera, lay down, and immerse yourself in the world of dog. You'll be amazed at the results!
I'd love to see the dog portraits you capture using this technique, so share them with me via Instagram DM – www.instagram.com/nicolebegleyofficial.
